"Oh! Suzy Q" LP by Dale Hawkins, Chess LP 1429, 1958, 1st pressing. Jacket is in VG+ condition and the vinyl is in near mint condition., from my personal collection. The song " Oh! Suzy Q" was written by Dale and bandmate Robert Chaisson. The song was inspired by record label owners daughter Susan. The song is considered "Swamp Rock". The song was included in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's 500 songs that shaped Rock and Roll. The LP was recorded at radio station KWKH in Shreveport, La. The song peaked at # 27 on the charts and spent 19 weeks on the charts.
