Description
This auction is for The Official Jacksons Picture Disc of their Victory album, released in 1984. It was the first and only album to include all six Jackson brothers together as an official group.
It is from my personal collection of memorabilia gathered during years of working in the radio business. The heavy plastic cover with sticker is in very good condition, with a small cut out of the upper right corner (see photo). The record itself is absolutely MINT; the only time it has ever been out of the protective cover is when I took the photo for this auction.
The first living artist ever inducted into the Science Fiction Hall of Fame, illustrator Michael Whelan (check him out on Wikipedia) designed the art for The Jacksons Victory album, and it's interesting to note that his original design included a dove in the center that was only on the cover of the first pressings...and the rare picture discs. The glare in the photo is from my camera flash, but the glow on Michael Jackson's glove and socks are part of the art.
Songs include State of Shock, Wait, Torture, We Can Change the World, Body, One More Chance, Be Not Always and The Hurt.
