I gotta 'fess up - The Offenders (and particularly this lp) were one of my absolute favourites! This lp, the Damage - CBGBs lp and the Offenders I hate Myself 7"  - that is hardcore boys!

This is the original Rabid Cat release, not the much later re-issue

This is a solid LP - a big improvement over the Offenders' first 12", both in terms of songwriting (and diverity) and recording quality. The band tightened up on their faster thrash tunes and wrote a bunch of mid-tempo songs to balance it out. The record starts off with the melodic intro-anthem "You Got a Right" and rips right into a sped-up version of "Face Down In the Dirt", their classic track from the P.E.A.C.E. compilation. The rest of the LP continues in similar fashion, only letting up for the 5 min+ epic "Endless Struggle" (complete with Hammond organ intro) at the end of side one.

A highly-evolved metal beast has now been added to the Offenders' MDC-like thrash attack. J.J. definitely still has the Dave MDC staccato delivery and sound to his voice. The lyrics are fairly simple, conveying their violent emotional views, mostly chronicling the endless struggle of life. The metal sound is mostly used as a powerful swirling and surging undercurrent that is propelled by the bass. They are fast but they can and do slow a bit to build the tension.

Cover/insert/vinyl are all in excellent condition - you will NOT see a cleaner copy again - look at my feedback - my records are pristine!!!

VINYL CONDITION: I'm listing over the up coming months my entire personal collection of somewhere in the region of 2 or 3 thousand items i'd guess. I can guarentee that every single item that i sell if free from scratches or jumps and will play perfectly (may be the odd pop or hiss, occasionally a surface scuff but that's it). where there is a flaw in the cover, i will happily state this.

I do not think it unreasonable to expect to hear from you within 3 days of auction close (If there is a problem - let me know, i'm actually a very reasonable chap!) Unlike alot of Ebayers at present, I don't look on P&P charges as extra revenue! I send items well packed (all vinyl sent in proper vinyl cardboard mailers with stiffener. More valuable 7"s are sent in a box with stupid amounts of card!). I will happily combine postage if you've won 2 or more items.For larger multiple auction wins, ask me for an exact postage charge. Prices below include insurance up to £28. I would suggest any auction that closes at over £28 should be sent insured (at cost) - I cannot be held responsible for any items lost/damaged in the postal system that are not insured.
