You are bidding on the original vinyl, first pressing of The Mars Volta's classic, "Octahedron" (2-LP). This is an extremely rare record and an instant collector's item which will surely only gain in value as the band's legend continues to grow.

This set contains two gorgeous, solid white picture discs, which look so clean and nice in person—and when spinning! The vinyl itself is in absolutely mint condition, played once, opening track only (“Since We’ve Been Wrong”). Beautiful sonics all around. So dense and rich sounding. Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist, John Frusciante plays lead on this entire album (ditto Amputechture and Bedlam) and his tone is a monster. Like liquid fire!

You can see from the images that this is a well taken care of vinyl set. Cover looks and feels great. It has an unusual thick plastic cover on which the band name and title is printed, and it overlays the cover art when slipped on. It is very wrinkly (see pic) which can happen to PVC over time. There’s plenty of info online about removing wrinkles from PVC. On the plus side, though, this PVC outer sleeve has preserved under it in showroom condition! Better than any other unsealed LP I’ve ever sold, in fact.
