Description
Don't Believe the Truth is the sixth album by Oasis and is considered their best work in ten years. The band has re-discovered their signature sound, which is a mix of Kinks and Small Faces pop with influences from T-Rex and Rubber Soul. The album features standout tracks such as "Love like a Bomb," which has been compared to the best songs by The La's. "Mucky Fingers" is a track that borrows heavily from The Velvet Underground's "Waiting for the Man." Another highlight is the blissed out song "Part of the Queue," which evokes memories of songs like "Golden Brown" and music from Shack. Don't Believe the Truth showcases Oasis at their most focused, reflective, and relaxed state, making it a must-listen for fans of the band.
