Oscar and the Majestics started performing in Northwest Indiana and the Chicago area in the USA in the 1960's. Since I began selling off my small assortment of their records, several international collectors have contacted me to tell me more about this specific record.  It is a rare piece of memorabilia. The original 1969 vinyl edition was extremely limited (I believe this is what the etched 200 in the label margin indicates.) This singularly fantastic arrangement of "House of the Rising Sun" has been sought after and appreciated worldwide for its uniquely creative innovative boundary blasting style. The advanced technical, recording and guitar techniques placed them light years ahead of their contemporaries when Oscar and the Majestics brought this visionary driving, pump up the volume version into reality at the legendary Chess Recording Studios in Chicago.
