An original DAMAGED 78rpm copy of Elvis Presley's very first Sun Records Co. release in July 1954, of "THAT'S ALL RIGHT" coupled with "BLUE MOON OF KENTUCKY"- Catalogue No SUN 209 . NO RESERVE AND NOMINAL STARTING PRICE ! (See Photos)

Every record collector and rock and roll music appreciator will know the importance of this recording in relation to the birth of rock and roll, which in turn led to a "sea change" in popular music tastes, whose ripples are still felt today. This recording marked the definitive starting point of rock and roll, and subsequent popular music tastes. The Beatles, Cliff Richard and The Shadows, and many of todays established mega stars/groups, took their influences from Presley's new landmark musical style, and a whole new musical era had begun.

This is an ORIGINAL copy, with the master numbers U-128-2 OK #72 and U-129-2 #72 OK etched in the dead wax areas of side 1 and side 2 respectively. NOTE: The question of "push marks" as a sign of an authentic original does NOT arise with Elvis's original Sun 78rpms. It is only the Elvis, vinyl, 45rpm, Sun recordings prior to the release of "Mystery Train" in Aug 1955, that carried the push marks. The Elvis Sun 78rpms did not have them. Reference is made to the etched master numbers to determine authenticity in the case of the Elvis Sun 78rpms.

IT IS, HOWEVER DAMAGED - IT IS IN TWO PIECES, AND IF YOU LOOK CAREFULLY AT THE PHOTOGRAPHS, YOU WILL SEE THIS. IT CAN NOT BE PLAYED, BUT IS GOOD TO SAY YOU OWN THIS HISTORIC PIECE, FRAME IT, AND DISPLAY IT ON THE LOUNGE WALL.

Please bear this in mind when bidding. It is enough to say that, this historic piece sells for extremely high prices when whole, so I will leave it to the market to decide what this damaged copy fetches.
