Description
For your consideration is an original 1969 pinback button from the 1969 Atlantic City Pop Festival. The festival was the first of the many mega-rock festivals held that year, and preceded the better-known Woodstock by two weeks. It was one of the last concerts by The Mothers of Invention, where Joni Mitchell had her famous meltdown on stage, etc., with some of the acts including Booker T and the MGs, the Byrds, Johnny Winter, Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention, Janis Joplin, Joe Cocker, Chicago, Dr. John and many others. This comes from the collection of a woman who attended the event (the same woman whose Beatles and Rolling Stones tickets I recently sold) and is original to the event. It measures approx. 1.3 inches in diameter. Condition on front is pristine, while there is light wear/rust on the reverse. Shipping $2 in US, $14 worldwide (registered mail).
