ORIGINAL 1969 first pressing vinyl ...this is the last and hardest to find Turtles album, here in GREAT shape, the album delivers terrific songs that went unnoticed because in 1970 there was such a prolific outpouring of 'new' head sounds, that an album by The Turtles was virtually put on the 'back burner'... underrated/unknown, it delivers...
Wooden Head is the last album, released by The Turtles, actually it's a great selection of of B-side 45 mixes, rarities and outtakes recorded by this undeservedly forgotten pop rock american band. Surprise: it contains some of the most exciting Turtles' pieces, and totally Wooden Head is even better than some of their original albums that sometimes makes listener to think that The Turtles were the near flawless band. In the depths of this album you should discover the best song Turtles ever recorded - a small epic of pop ethos. Anyone who involved with melodic pop rock of the late 60's and familiar with such names as The Zombies, The Kinks or The Move could give this album a chance to listen and have no regrets at all.
