Some words on this issue: ORGANUM: “SPHYX” (Aeroplane – ARI4)  Original press as released in '94 on David Jackman's Aeroplane label, Sphyx was the culmination of pieces recorded over a three-year period ('90-'93) that included a monster nucleus of collaboration that included Christoph Heemann, David Jackman, Jim O'Rourke, Eddie Prevost, and Dinah Jane Rowe. The result proved legendary and has been regarded as one of the finest Organum long-players to date. Right from the cascading shifts and interwoven percussion streams of the opening track, 'Aurora', the spacious landscape that is Organum emerges with a sinuous rupture of textural flares. The palette then expands with the title track, 'Sphyx', fusing deep distances and shakuhachi tonalities toward an intoxicating oblivion. 'Mutla' concludes the original triptych of album tracks with a mammoth, eruptive reckoning of harmonic punctuations and slipstreams of keyed feedback.

Our grading scale: Mint/ Near Mint/ Excellent/ VG++/. We don’t sell anything below VG++. VG++ grade is basically that the record has some scuffs and has wear. Excellent: record has hardly no visible defects and is preserved with care and attention, the condition most collectors take pride in to file away. Near Mint: a dash below mint, just perfect. Mint: like new.
