Description
This is it -- the record that is basically Year Zero for what later became variously known as 'indiepop,' 'twee', 'C86'... what have you. An original copy of the debut single by Orange Juice, and the first release on the legendary Postcard Records (Cat. #: POSTCARD 80-1). "Falling and Laughing" b/w "Moscow Olympics" and "Moscow." Comes complete with wraparound sleeve, bonus "I Wish I Was a Postcard" flexi with a live recording of "Felicity," and an actual postcard insert with the kitten Postcard logo.
Needless to say, this record is extremely rare and virtually never comes up for sale, especially in this sort of condition.
Sleeve: EX (a few faint creases from ringwear that are only visible upon close inspection
Vinyl: VG+ (some light marks that are only visible under direct light; plays virtually mint)
Flexi: VG (slightly more marked than the vinyl but still plays incredibly well)
Postcard insert: M
*Many sellers would grade these higher but I grade very conservatively.
