Description

OPERA 3-LP BOX: PUCCINI - LA FANCIULLA DEL WEST Decca (UK) SXL 2039-40-41 (UK) with Renata Tebaldi, Mario Del Monaco, conducted by Franco Capuana.

Boxed set, with 12-inch booklet and a smaller booklet with complete transcriptions in Italian and English. The LPs are vintage pressings in Decca inner sleeves with "Original Recordings By" on the labels. Numbers in the wax are:

ZAL-4125-2E, ZAL-4126-2E, ZAL-4127-2K, ZAL-4128-2E, ZAL-4129-2K, ZAL-4130-2K.

Records are VG+ or NM-. Some have some superficial scuffs. Booklets are in excellent condition. The sides of the box are damaged, split at the corners, and some of the paper and cellophane covering are torn. See photos.

GRADING:
LPs, 45s, and EPs are graded M (mint), NM (near mint), VG+, VG (very good), VG-, G+, G (good), G-, F (fair), and P (poor). A NM record will show no more than slight handling wear. A VG+ record may have some visible scuffs and light scratches and plays well with little surface noise. Some scratches on records graded VG and VG-may be deep enough to feel with your fingernail, or there may be scratches or groove wear throughout that cause surface noise, but the record still plays well. On records in the G+, G and G- range the level of the music is still above the surface noise caused by scuffs, scratches and groove wear. Surface noise may be as loud as the music on records graded F and louder than the music on P records. P records are likely to be unplayable.

Jackets graded VG+ have only slight wear; jackets graded VG are more worn but still intact unless defects are noted. G jackets show definite damage and F and P jackets are probably falling apart. Splits, markings, cut corners and other defects will be noted.
