Record Grading & Inspection

All records are carefully inspected and graded visually under strong, directional lighting to accurately assess surface condition, marks, scuffs, spindle wear, and overall presentation. I grade conservatively and describe each item as clearly and honestly as possible.

Unless explicitly stated in the listing, records are visually graded only. Where audio grading is specified, the record has been fully play-tested using either a properly aligned mono cartridge or stereo cartridge (as appropriate to the pressing), set to the correct tracking weight and balanced for optimal performance. This ensures an accurate and sympathetic assessment of playback quality, including surface noise, distortion, tracking ability, and overall sonic presentation.

Cleaning & Packaging

Every record sold is professionally cleaned on a VPI 16.5 record cleaning machine to remove dirt and contaminants from the grooves prior to dispatch. After cleaning, records are placed in new archival-quality inner sleeves and supplied with protective outer sleeves to ensure they arrive in the condition described.

All items are securely packaged and sent via Royal Mail Recorded / Tracked & Signed service for peace of mind and full traceability.
