 of this edition, 5000 copies have been made under the supervision of

Norman Ganz

Copy number 3009 dated 1949

Established artists such as Ellington, Hawkins and Young are portrayed alongside little known, but no less important musically, artists such as Machito, Charlie Parker, Flip Phillips, and Bud Powell.  It also includes arranger-composers such as Ralph Burns, George Handy, and Neal Hefti.

Recordings include the above, but there are loads more photos including, but not limited to Art Tatum, Sarah Vaughn, Ilionis Jacquet, Dizzy Gillespie, louis Armstrong, Eddie Sauter and Ella Fitzgerald. 

Bound photo collection as well as 5 records in good condition, one with a scratch and others appear to have been played, but handled carefully with  a total of 28 photos.

A wonderful album for the Jazz enthusiast.
