Description
This is a rare vinyl test pressing of the Dais Records reissue of Nocturnal Projections's 1982 to 1983 music compiled as Complete Studio Recordings
"The sound will be instantly familiar to anyone who was alive in the 1980s, a nervy, hyper-dramatic aesthetic that is polished to a high sheen and reverbed to fill every available space with music. The band’s rhythm section—drummer Gordon Rutherford and bassist Brett Jones—is powerful, a heaving, pounding foundation that gives tracks like “Difficult Days” a ritual, almost processional feel. Graeme Jefferies’s guitar careens and sirens and clangs through the mix, and his brother Peter Jefferies sings with power and emotion but not much melody; it’s almost a chant, rather than a tune." - Dusted
"Sounding like a scrappy, homemade take on the sounds coming from the U.K., especially Wire, Joy Division, and the Fall, the band only made a few singles before moving on to become This Kind of Punishment. 2018's collection on Dais Records lives gives people who missed them the first time around a chance to hear their unsurprisingly -- given their future track record -- excellent work." - All Music
