Description
NIRVANA
INCESTICIDE
ORG MUSIC / / ORGM 1005
Compilation album/vinyl (wonderfully) mastered from the original analog tapes by Bernie Grundman – Pressed in Germany by Pallas on audiophile grade 180g vinyl – Item is overall VG+ condition, but plays near perfectly – Jacket is in 4-mil protective poly-sleeve with the record placed in NEW Mo-Fi inner sleeve (original sleeve is in jacket to maintain package integrity) – Keep in mind that record grading can be very subjective and I have done my best to describe condition as precise as possible – Please see below for individual title details
JACKET VG+ – Cover is glossy and heavy-weight – Corner ding at bottom-left corner (looking front) – Includes all original inserts (info sheet, ORG Music postcard advertisement, hype-sticker)
VINYL VG+ (plays & sounds NM--except where noted) – Glossy and plays through without distortion (exceptional sound quality) – Record has some visible rub marks that look to come from manufacturing when originally handled and placed in sleeve – ORG is known for having some anomalies visible in their black vinyl – There also is what appears to be a small surface mark, but not deep enough to be a scratch, that causes very quiet popping in the silent run between “Big Long Now” and “Aneurysm” but no popping is present during either song (with my set-up) – The marks were present upon first opening and do NOT affect play (except for where noted) – Also tested with AT ATH-M50 headphones (in addition to what is noted below) and the entire album plays near perfectly--except where noted
Edited 5/18/18 to include additional playback notes and better quality photos of vinyl
Equipment used in playing/test grading:
Pro-ject Xpressions III manual belt-drive turntable; Audio-Technica 440MLb cartridge; Pro-ject Tube Box II phono pre-amplifier; Pro-ject Speed Box SE II outboard power supply oscillator; Marantz 7010 AVR w/ Direct Audio and front L/R analogue mains set; Ascend Acoustics 340 SE monitors; Panamax M5300-PM Clean Power Level 4 power center
Any questions please ask!!
I do my best to ensure all vinyl records get to you safe and sound. Records are bagged and packed inside a deluxe LP mailer box (not the flimsy white ones that damage corners easily). I also will include a “Rice Paper” inner sleeve for you to use in place of the original, which sometimes is only a thin paper or wax sleeve (original sleeves always included)
