Description
This is a copy of Nirvana's "In Utero" pressed in 2003 on black vinyl.This version has the rare Steve Albini mix.This mix was rejected by Geffen during the album's initial release in 1993 for being to raw and unpolished.The album was re mixed by Andy Wallace,who softened the bass,smoothed the vocals and brought the guitars from out front of the mix,to create a more radio friendly sound.This particular mix is the way the record should sound.Kurt Cobain preferred this mix,but eventually was out voted,and allowed the released version. The record is still sealed and getting harder to find in this original state.
All of my records will be securely packaged and mailed priority with tracking to protect myself and the buyer.Insurance is highly suggested at checkout,because some of these items will be very expensive to replace,if lost or damaged.Please ask any questions BEFORE auction's end,and I will be happy to answer what I can.I am not an expert on vinyl pressings or records in general.If I list a "grade",it is only my personal opinion.I try to be on the conservative side,because some collectors can be very picky about condition.
