Description
The Point is the sixth studio album by singer, songwriter and musician Harry Nilsson. It was released on the Victor Records label in December 1970. It was accompanied by a film adaptation which aired in early 1971 on the ABC-TV network. The Point is a fable about a boy named Oblio, who is the only round headed person in a village where by law everyone and everything must have a point. The voices of Oblio were provided by Mike Lookinland ( sound familiar? Yes it’s Bobby Brady).
The original vinyl album included an illustrated comic book version of the story. The albums lead single “ Me And My Arrow” peaked at #34 on Bollboard’s Hot 100 Singles Chart. Nice gatefold original w/ rare comic book included here from 1970.
