Nigel Simpkins 1978 X. ENC. 7" EP Waldo's Records
Rare opportunity to acquire this superb copy of Nigel's epic proto-sampler EP from Waldo's Records. A similar item was sold on this site a few months ago, and this second example is in similarly excellent shape. The three-colour fold-out bag remains crisp and free even from disc wear, no folds or tears to mar the finish. Both sides have just been played through and are also in fine shape. Side One begins with some surface noise on the run-in grooves, but the track itself is entirely clean. On Side Two, track one again displays some minor crackling before the song begins, but the music itself is clean save for two unrelated pops midway through. On Side Two, both tracks are clean except for minor crackling on the silent run-in before the song starts. A lovely experimental item. Many thanks for looking.
