Nice Day with Buddy Collette. Contemporary Records(C 3531).
A Nice Day is a nice recording for multi-reedist Buddy Collette who plays alto, clarinet, flute and tenor. Five of the ten selection's are Collette's originals and are excellent. Collette is the main force throughout this set of lightly swinging music although he gets support from the fine rhythm sections (which include either Don Friedman, Dick Shreve or Calvin Jackson on piano). Overall this set serves as a good all-around showcase for Buddy Colette's playing and writing talents.
Condition Cover 8 or NM- still sealed, loose bag seal common for the fifties, heavy cardboard sleeve, includes two inserts as shown and inspection card/Record 10 or Mint new still sealed unplayed.
