STUNNING:
Michael Newman -
CLASSICAL GUITARIST -
Sheffield Direct-to-Disc Recording LAB-10
Yes, it is a recording of an unedited concert performance. Yes, too, young maestro Newman masterfully plays music here of Bach, Albeniz, Turina, and De La Maza. Upon its release, STEREO REVIEW Magazine said this:
"The sound is quite stunning…his performance remarkable."
The audio reviewer in British Columbia's WESTERN LIVING Magazine said: "You should buy this one, no matter what it costs because it is absolutely electrifying and unforgettable."
And STEREOPHILE acclaimed it: "Simply gorgeous! The finest guitar record ever!"
A fine copy: Cover has hints of ring (see photo), while within is a direct-cut platter that will play near mint.
For other fine records, TAS picks and hard-to-finds, please see my complete list of offerings here on eBay.
Shipping and handling is $5 for up to 5 LPs shipped within the States. Internationally, $15 via airmail for the first LP, $3 each thereafter. (Canada is half that.) Boxes over 4 lbs., add another $6, because First Class is no longer available at that weight, just Priority Mail. Note, too, boxed sets of LPs require more postage.
