PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER). OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.

RARE original US pressing on Qwest from 1987 with raised lettering on the glossy front cover (see photo 9) and original glossy full color printed inner sleeves!! LPs are VG+ with a few light paper scuffs and cover is a beautiful VG++ with barely a hint of ring. Now for the real reason you're reading this. An ULTRA rare original 12 X 36 rigid, FULLY INTACT three-panel in-store promotional display issued by Qwest/Factory Records here in the states over 30 years ago (see photo 6). This was purchased from a former Tower Records (R.I.P.) manager who was a big fan of Joy Division/New Order and decided to rescue this display for her own private collection (which was staggeringly impressive). She told me that 99% of these displays were either tossed after they were displayed or never displayed at all and then tossed. Tower staff considered them disposable swag and clutter and as a result VERY few survived from the 80s. Rare as hens teeth. The first panel features the LP cover, the center panel features the red "note" design on one of the inner sleeves and the last features an iconic shot of the four individual band members (see photos 5, 7, 8 & 9). This display is simply pristine with NO staple holes, tears, creases, tape residue, peel spots, bends or cuts of ANY kind. These displays are incredibly hard to find in any condition and simply impossible to find in this condition as most surviving specimens were used with some sort of damaging adhesive or staples. I have been collecting Joy Division/New Order for 40+ years and only ever seen one of these displays before but it was in less than desirable condition as the panels had been separated and were covered with peel spots from having the tape removed. These are the kinds of rarities Joy Division/New Order fans are going to be fighting over fiercely in the very near future so don't sleep. You will never see another lot like this again, particularly a completely intact example.
