Recorded: 12 October 1969 (side 1), 19 November 1969 (side 2/tracks 2-4) & late 1969 (side 2/tracks 5-8) ~ release date: September 1970.
On offer here is an original British issue of NEIL ARDLEY, IAN CARR and DON RENDELL's “Greek Variations” album on the HIGHLY COLLECTABLE COLUMBIA Lansdowne Series label. The IAN CARR compositions on side 2 are recordings by the earliest line-up of NUCLEUS.
Extra info: New Zealand-born NEVILLE WHITEHEAD (DON RENDELL’s bassist) also appeared on CHARLIE MUNRO’s “Count Down” album (recorded Sydney, July 1969). Check out my eBay listing for this extremely rare album elsewhere. He is now the proprietor of a Lutherie business in SYDNEY—AUSTRALIA!

VG++ visual: beautiful glossy sheen—HIGHLY ACCEPTABLE copy, some light hairline scuffs only; audible: just PLAYED LOUD through 100 WATT speakers and it SOUNDS GREAT overall, with some underlying surface noise more noticeable during the quieter passages (VG++ to EX, except tracks 5-7 VG+ light pops & crackle); labels: hardly any spindle wear, see digital photo #2.
