Description

Here for auction is a fine copy of the debut vinyl release from San Francisco’s Negativland. It was purchased new in 1980 from Liverpool’s Probe Records, by singer/author Julian Cope, who thereafter kept it clean and warm in a thick polythene 12” sleeve.

Being of a DIY nature, the cardboard record covers on this release each featured several random elements, but this copy of the album sleeve and inner is still virtually as it left the record shop.

Both sides of the record have been played through and listened to carefully. No problems on the vinyl save for occasional surface noises – even this is difficult to discern from the crazy and distressed sounds unleashed by this post-punk music concrète outfit.
