Description
This is a scarce opportunity to obtain one of the true pioneer records of NWOBHM, "Need Your Love" by Sinner. The record comes in a very unusual TRIPLE fold out sleeve on the obscure Whitetower label (AMC 705) and is in genuine mint minus condition. I can detect only a faint spindle mark on each side so it appears to have been played only once. The vinyl is bright, clean and shiney. The sleeve unfaded, starched, bold and with only light rubbing at the folds. A small patch of sticker gum residue can be seen if held at a certain way in the light but this is hardly a problem.
The band consisted of writer/bassist Ian Gow, Guitarist Graham Cumming and Drummer Pierre Jacob and this 1979, recorded in "Ralph's studio", three track outing appears to have been their only release. The tracks are Need Your Love,Beggar and God's In His Heaven.
Indeed, other than they plainly forged an early path for NW British Heavy Metal, it is very hard to find any further information on this band at all! The cover has their photo, original artwork and, among the usual thank yous and technical notes, the message: "(Recorded) in spite of a heavy nights drinking the night before,the people who complained about the noise,the Master Of Hatfield College, not knowing what we were doing & VAT"
The starting price on this very scarce and amazing condition record is low and there is no reserve.
