Novos Bahianos
E Ferro Na Boneca (RGE XRLP 5340)
COVER: VG- Creasing, corner wear. Chewed a bit at bottom seam. No pen marks or writing.
VINYL: VG++. Light marks. Scuff on A-1 causes slightest pecs. Disc plays fantastic. Absolute slightest surface noise. Vinyl is bright and glossy.
Original first edition released in Brazil in 1970.
Debut from Novos Bahaianos. To me, this is right up with the Mutantes. (I think I listen to this more, in fact....) Fuzzed out guitars, wild horn charts, even muted trumpets ala Miles Davis?!? (yup!) F*cked up latin rhythms, wicked jazzy & funky drums... Every time I spin this, people freak and come up and ask who it is...Pure psych / Tropicalia bliss from Brazil.
