Welcome to my auction. Thanks for taking the time to have a look.
Due to a snap decision to start collecting Rock albums, I found myself in bad books with my missus. To dig my way out, I have reluctantly agreed to sell my collection of Northern Soul / Mod / Ska singles, LPs and CDs. So here we go....
Listed here is my copy of an original 45 rpm, 7 inch vinyl single on the Columbia label. Side A- "Get Down With It" Side B- "Rose Mary" both by Little Richard...
It was purchased by me some years ago. I have only played it sparingly, at home, on my Technics 1210 Mk2's with Audio-Technica AT-VM95E Dual Moving Magnet Cartridges. It has been stored upright in an aluminium flight case, purpose- made for singles.
I'm departing from my usual listing style with this one, to give you a little more information. This is one of the singles that cost me the most money in my entire collection. You may recall, this tune suddenly went nuts on the Soul scene some years ago, and there were no reissues / bootlegs or anything available. I happened to find the original copy you see here, and paid a fortune (to me, anyway) for it. To this day my good lady doesn't know how much it cost !!🤫
I purchased this single as Mint-, and I agreed entirely with the description. It plays perfectly, has no significant marks in the vinyl, and even the sleeve is very good, if a little wrinkled.
I hate to describe the grading of the records I'm selling accurately, as someone will always disagree and start an argument, which always seems to go along the lines of: "I'm not happy with your grading, but l don't want to give you the record back. I want to keep it, but want you to give me a chunk of my money back." That's why you see me grading all my records as VGC+. The truth is, I very rarely bought a VGC+ single. I always went for EX, EX+ or Mint- wherever possible....
So, in the interests of a quiet life, I'm going to grade this as EX. It is better than that.

I'm starting the bidding at £65 with no reserve, which is under half what I paid for it. I will also be shipping this one by Royal Mail Special Delivery so the insurance will be adequate, in the event of loss or damage in transit.
