Ultra rare iconic UK Demo/Promo. I seriously doubt that you would find another as good as this. Obtained when I was a record buyer for Keith Prowse Music in the late 1960's. This record has never been played to my knowledge.
Prior to his conversion to Christianity in 1972, singer/songwriter/pianist/producer/engineer John Pantry had been the brains behind numerous late 1960s UK psych-pop masterpieces, writing and recording under such aliases as the Factory (Try A Little Sunshine, Red Chalk Hill), the Bunch (Spare A Shilling), NORMAN CONQUEST (TWO PEOPLE/UPSIDE DOWN)) as well as leading his own groups, Sounds Around and Peter & The Wolves, an accomplished mid 60s pop group from Leigh-on-Sea/Southend and had a major hand with many other IBC studio projects of the time. Pantry released one solo disc in the early 70s (which has not been reissued as of this date) before delving into the world of Christian music. Prior to that, he had been a talented studio engineer for IBC Studios working with Eddie Tre-Vett music, engineering for the likes of Southern Comfort, The Small Faces, The Bee Gees, Manfred Mann's Earth Band, Shindig, The New Seekers, Pentangle and Barry Ryan.
I am not certain, and have not been able to find out yet, whether Pantry and Norman Conquest are the same person: although an online site suggested that Norman Conquest is someone called Paul Puig who is now a punk poet and was a member of a south coast band called Lee Grant and the Capitols in the 1960's. A bit of a mystery, but either way this is an outstanding collectors item.
UK post is included. I can post overseas, extra cost dependant on your location. Any taxes/customs duties are the buyers responsibility.
