PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. Because of that dedication, there should be no need to open a resolution dispute before working with us. Please keep in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over +22,000 positive feedback. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so.

The Mascots, after their first album, were still influenced by The Beatles but added a tougher sound to their music-- think: "Rain/Paperback Writer" era Beatles
The Mascots had some personnel changes during this era (from a quartet to a quintet), but their sound stayed mostly the same--great vocals, superb arrangements, concise guitar solos and that sound, still timelessly great.
For anyone into the Beatles/Zombies/Hollies or mid 60's British rock era music, The Mascots should be on one's "to investigate further" list.
The Mascots had a reputation for doing some of the best original British styled rock music to come out of Europe during the mid 1960s, but one can't fully appreciate how good they were until one hears this album. Sweden's mid 60's the MASCOTS were a lot of fun, issuing a bunch of chart hits and two essential albums during their all too short life...here is their very scarce SECOND 1966 LP, difficult to find still playing fully enjoyable!
Strong flavors per "Revolver" and "Rubber Soul" era BEATLES with contagious self-composed tunes. Issued in 1965 with intention to appeal to the English Beatles highs in the mid 60's market, it includes a few TOP chart 45's intermixed with tracks created especially for this long-player release, and the results are so well done in British rock mode by musicians who were obviously coming into the scene from the outside.
The fuzz-laden rockers such as "I Close Your Eyes" could have passed for British freak-beat circa 1965-1966, in style of Creation's sound, while folkie-based pieces such as "The Proud Crowd" come off as a variant of the folk-rock sound embraced by John Lennon on "You've Got to Hide Your Love Away," inspiration and commercially fine-minded moments. And then there's the downright weird "Things Are Turning Out," a strange (and strangely accurate) European answer to British music novelty rock, which seems to have been created more for Herman's Hermits than the Beatles, while "Droopy Drops" sounds like a catchy re-creation of the Hollies. MASCOTS also deliver a better than decent hook-and-harmony-laden piece like "Nobody Crying," with its superb middle eight and a great break, which could have become an underground classic in America or England.
Both original MASCOTS LP's are surprisingly strong, growing increasingly infectious with each spin of the records. It all sounds as though the MASCOTS were given the hooks, choruses, and playing (and some of the singing) by the Beatles and the Hollies, put them into a blender, and came up with something especially pleasing in musical flavors. And thanks to its perfections in anything greater or more important, this LP never overstays its welcome as prime mid-'60s U.K.-styled rock addiction
