You are bidding on a 1975 release on the Import Records label cat # IMP-1004 by Niemen called "Mourner's Rhapsody".
If you are looking at this item you are probably familiar with this artists music. It was originally released in West Germany in 1974, in the U.K. in 1975 and the U.S in 1976.
This particular copy is rather unique. Discogs shows 2 U.S. releases on the Import Records label with the catalog IMP-1004.. one was a promotional release and the other one shows a different label on the record itself. They were both distributed by Jem Records.. however this copy shows a label for "Visa Records", instead of the "Import Records" label. This copy lists Reseda, CA in addition to the South Plainfield, NJ location. I believe that this one may have been pressed in the California location, however I have been unable to substantiate that at all. Needless to say, I have not been able to find out more information regarding this record label instance, and I have never seen it before, either.
I can say that this album was never played more than a handful of times, and I am the original owner/purchaser. The cover, sleeve and vinyl are all in excellent condition.. the attached photos do show a bit of dust, etc. as I did not clean the record before taking the photos.
Niemen died in 2004 of cancer in Poland, his native country.
