You are bidding on a truely excellent 2nd pressing (not later blue label) of a brilliant album by Nick Drake.The catalogue number is ILPS 9184. This record is in nearly mint condition and features the Orange Island label with blue rim. It plays perfectly and has no marks, scratches or scuffs of any kind. The cover is the very rare gatefold containing the lyrics. The cover is in super condition with only a few creases. The colour and printing is vivid and the printer is "Robor". Any British vinyl pressings of Nick Drake albums are hard to come by and this is one of the best!

I am sure that all Drake fans know that this is one of the most intimate and beautiful albums of all time. Nick's singing and guitar playing are peerless and this is a true "solo" album (even the piano overdubs are his). The story surrounding its release is heartrending. Nick recorded the album and then presented the tapes to John Wood late at night. He was incredibly shy and precious about it and in a very low state of mind at the time. "Pink Moon" features some of the most uplifting and magical songs of all time however!

Unfortunately, this is another item that I would prefer not to sell as it is very precious. However, a growing family and priorites mean that I have to sell. Although not the first pressing (valued at £250+), this second pressing is still a scarce item: I bought it brand new in 1982. I have, of course, treasured it and feel sad to see it go. I am sure that whoever wins it will be proud to own it.
