Description

This is the extremely rare original 1969 Island Records LP (no ILPS 9105). The numbers on the run out tracks are ILPS 9105 A//2 1 7 and ILPS 9105 B//2 1 1 1

I have owned and cared for this classic album from new.

The gatefold cover is in good condition with only light signs of wear on the corners and edges. The spine is fully readable. The inside is clean and unmarked.

The inner sleeve is in good condition, although the glue holding the polythene lining inside the paper sleeve has discoloured a little over the years.

The record is in superb condition apart from three small visible scratches (none of them more than about 1cm long) on one side. I think these were all caused in one incident when the turntable got knocked and the arm jumped. These cause some audible clicks, but no skips, or jumps. To my ear, the clicks are only really in the foreground on one track. The other side is unmarked. This record has not been played very often, has a lovely rich sound and is still nice and glossy with excellent clean labels.

I have been watching e bay to get some idea of this record’s value, but it is so rare I have not seen another one on sale. The only indication I have is a comment from a seller of a modern repress of the album saying “The original first pressing sells for around £400-£500”. This one is in good, but not perfect condition, so this is a rare chance to add this much sought after album to your collection at a bargain price. Don’t miss it!

Don’t be put off by my 0 feedback score – I have never sold on e bay before. I am just starting to sell my cherished record collection due to lack of space after moving house.

The record will be sent promptly in a quality Record Mailer. I would be happy to answer any questions you might have..
