Description
Here is a RARE NHRA drag racing sound effects 33LP Record album. This one is called Chrome On The Range.It is by Battle Records and is Mono #6135.This old record was recorded at the 1959 NHRA Nationals in Detroit. I was able to play this record and can recognize some of the cars that were on the famous old Riverside records.I did hear Jack Moss' twin Chevy dragster and the Sidewinder,I believe.There is no listing of cars on the cover so I really can't tell you who the rest are. This record is in good shape.It is not as great as the other two previous albums I recently sold.The record has several light scratches and also some sort of film in spots. I'm not sure what that is.I used a record cleaner and a light cloth and it did come off. I got this about 10 years ago.The scratches and mystery film doesn't seem to affect play.The record did not skip as I recall but I did not play it entirely on both sides.The cover is in good shape on front.There is a picture of a custom T Bucket with a Rolls Royce grille.It has soome storage scuffs and a very small tear on bottom left and bottom right corner.The cover's seams are complete and not split.On back there is some kind of stain.You can see it in picture.It lists all the other Battle records that were then avalible.I'd venture to say this album was out in the early to mid'60's.SOLD AS IS.
