Description
From the archive of original Joy Division/New Order manager Rob Gretton (1953-1999), an ultra rare 1985 UK Factory test pressing of New Order's album Low-Life (FACT 100). This is a direct metal master (DMM) test pressing, with matrix number FACT 100 A1, LYN-15588 etched on one side and for some reason, no matrix information on the other side. Included is the original pressing plant paperwork from Lyntone Recordings Limited in London, dated 14/2/85 (February 14, 1985.) The paperwork specifies two test pressings of this album and one of FAC 123, New Order's Perfect Kiss 12" were shipped on that date (though this auction is just for the one Low-Life test pressing). The disc is in EX condition and is somewhat warped, but plays perfectly on our high grade turntable with normal tracking.
We grade all records visually, cover first, then disc; using the abbreviations M / NM / EX / VG with + and -. We try to describe everything as accurately as possible, and spot check any vinyl flaw that looks like it might make a sound. We regularly receive praise for our grading, but as all grading is subjective, we are happy to give a full refund for anything you aren't happy with no questions asked.
