New England Teen Scene Vol. 1 LP
(Moulty 101, 1983)
500 copies pressed 22 years ago and sold out since at least 15 years - this is one of the most sought after of the countless 60s compilations because it represented the classic moody folk-punk New England sound better than any other comp. Not as wyld as Back From The Grave, but certainly as musically rewarding as any Pebbles volume
As "The Age Of Madness" book puts it: " A real classic that brought the great and highly distinct New England sound to the scene. You probably know it by now; minor-chord low-key sort of folk-rock/beat that's absolutely irresistable after a few spins. Of course there's some punk here too but not a fuzz-box in sight. 500 copies made and very hard to find these days."
I am getting rid of parts of my record collection, please see my other auctions for more psych, acid-folk, garage, prog and krautrock records.
