Description

Up for bid is this NELLIE MELBA MAUVE VICTOR 95024 with original cover.  "SI MES VERS AVAIENT DES AILES" (Reynaldo Hahn)  This one sided record is in very good condition.  There are no large scratches and very few small scratches.  Something interesting, the original number etched into the record above the label was apparently marked through at the factory, and the correct number, 95024 was etched into it.  I don't know how often this happens, but I have never seen it.  It has obviously been well taken care of and stored in the cover.  The cover is nice as well with some edge wear, and features a very good picture of the singer through a window on the front.  Has the original price...$5!.  That was a lot back then.  Recorded in Europe by the Gramophone and Typewriter company.  (G&T)  Thanks!
