NECROSOhio thrash-punksters the Necros debuted in the early '80s with a nine-track EP released through two preeminent indie labels, Dischord and Touch & Go. Signed to the latter label two years later, the group's first album, Conquest for Death, proved to be their last for quite a while. Except for a 1986 split 7" with White Flag, the Necros didn't return until 1987, when Tangled Up debuted a vastly different lineup and a sound not quite as brutal as before
"CONQUEST FOR DEATH"
The 1st full-length release for the Necros. 2000 copies were pressed by
Touch and Go Records and the album was licensed to Aggressive Rockproduktionen
in Germany. The German version has an extra track ("Take 'Em Up) and
has the album title written in green (the Touch and Go version is in blue).
To date, there has been no authorized reissue of this record. It is frequently
bootlegged with the band's first 3 7"s added as bonus tracks[]
