Description
This is the super rare 1962 first issue of The Tony Sheridan and The Beatles record My Bonnie. This was the one that got Brian Epstein in to the Cavern.
There were three issues of this record throughout the 60's. This was the very first, of which there were very, very few. No one outside of Liverpool had heard of The Beatles and Tony Sheridan was an unknown in England too. It flopped and disappeared without trace. The second, most common issue was issued in 1964 at the height of Beatlemania and sold very well, even charting.
You can tell the difference by the typeface and more easily by the "&" symbol in Tony Sheridan & The Beatles. The common type has the "&" symbol. The rare one has what looks like a backward "3".
The vinyl on this one is excellent, with some surface marks. The labels are dirty and slightly worn and there is writing on one side.
