Description
I sell a beautyfull Musicman Stingray. I'm the first owner of the bass, I bought it in 1993. The color of the bass on the picture is translucent blue but in reality it's between blue and green, a kind of "turquoise".
If you know Musicman, you know that the 92/94 era is the best Stingray period and sought after, it will only increase in value
It's a quite rare version only made around 92/94, it have the Flea bridge from the Red Hot Chily Peppers: "This bridge arrangement was originally designed specifically for "Flea", for the purpose of ensuring straight string pull across the bridge saddle, rather than the "bend" that is present on the earlier models. Also the groove in the saddles is sized for each individual string, and is deeper, to make sure the string could not be pulled out with his aggressive style of playing."
The bass is in good condition but as I don't play with it since a while, a set up may be done. It plays very well and I put a new set of strings on it and it's fine.
The bass has some scratches and a dings on the edge of the body, I try to show it but it's very difficult caus' it's little - 3mm - and with that finish it's not very easy to see. There's some light superficial scratches on the back of the body - hope you can see it on the pics. And on the on the edge of the neck there's very small dings and scratches, I cannot take picture of it, it's visible so you had to know it. Also a little tarnish in the front of the body but you only see it if you look with care. The neck is really beautyfull and easy to play with beautyful flamed maple - the best neck on a Stingray I've ever play.
I can remove the sticker on the head easily if you want but I'll only do if I'm sure to sell it.
The bass is in a good condition, very easy to play with some sign of years but it's very light.
