Description

This has got to be the earliest record of synthesised music. The artists were scientists at the Bell Telephone Lab, Dr. J R Pierce and Dr. M V Matthews. Max Matthews is called the "father of computer music". The music was composed on a IBM 704 and 7090 digital computers. The record is the first 1960 release that comes with an explanatory booklet and a erratum slip. There is some damage to the box from sliding in storage and the previous owner has written 'Wade' on the cover and in the booklet. Record has been played and while there are scratches the playing is excellent.
