Item Description

Mushroom- Early One Morning- super rare vinyl LP- hardly any copies for sale, anywhere, right now! This is the original first pressing released in Ireland on the Hawk label, cat# HALPX 116, in 1973. It comes in the original outer sleeve, with inner paper sleeve with hand written credits and track list, and also with the original band photo. Single owner- who purchased the record back in Ireland in the early 70s. There is a small sticker on the front cover showing that the LP was bought in Hennessy's record shop, Cork. 

This was the only LP released by Mushroom- and was highly influential at the time, particularly in Ireland, with its blend of traditional Irish folk, progressive rock, folk rock and psychedelic.

Item Condition

Vinyl record- very good condition. On visual inspection, there are a couple of small scuffs, and a handful of hairlines per side, and some visible groove wear on the first couple of tracks- None of this impacts on sound quality. LP starts with a little crackle and a brief pop, but soon settles as the music starts. Audio quality is crisp and clean, with tame light crackle intermittent throughout the LP- it is high end VG- much of it could be graded VG+, but I am grading at VG because of light crackle, and there is also a previous owner's name written in faint ink on the side 1 label. 

Outer sleeve- very good, with some signs of age. There are some age spots/yellowing to the laminate, and some pink staining along the front right edge where there is a a 3mm gap between the laminate and the insert edge- presumable a little water damage at some point during storage. The photo on the inside of the gatefold is excellent. The Hennessy's record shop sticker is still on the front cover, as is a £2.20 price sticker. 

Inner sleeve- very good- all hand written print is in great condition and clearly visible. There is some age spotting and also pink stains- previous water damage. 

Photo insert- good+, with a bit of edge damage. One edge is a bit frayed and shows pink staining, most likely from previous water damage.
