Very rare,very strange,and under the right circumstances very psychedelic.Folkways Records and Service Corporation along with the US Library of Congress presents one of the most intense Lp's ever released,Mushroom Ceremony of the Mazatec Indians of Mexico,released in 1957,Folkways FR 8975.
The very first psychedelic album??Tough to let this one go as it has been a nice companion through many lifetimes and dimensions,but now it's time to spread the word,winner of this album will have a grin from ear to ear.
Vinyl is Near Mint,cover and insert/booklet also Mint,quite an incredible find for an Lp which is over fifty years old now.
According to popsike: Mushroom researcher Gordon Wasson records a psilocybin mushroom ritual with the Mexican curandero (witch-doctor) Maria Sabina, which is released on LP by Folkways Recordings. This is the first known published recording of people under the influence of psychedelic drugs, titled "The Mushroom Ceremony Of The Mazatec Indians".
