Collect all three designs in this ultra-low mintage three coin subscription series featuring the Wolf, Grizzly Bear and Lynx. Each $25 fine silver coin features an extraordinarily high 6 mm relief that uses more than 400 polygon facets to reflect light like a fine gemstone. Mintage is limited to just 2,500 coins for each design. The 2019 Wolf coin will be shipped with your order, with the 2020 Grizzly Bear to follow in October and 2020 Lynx in December. HST/GST exempt.
Coin 1 – Wolf $25 Extraordinarily High Relief Fine Silver Coin (August 2019)
The wolf represents loyalty, strength and determination. It is a revered spiritual guide among the First Nations and the symbol of a devoted keeper of family. The wolf is known for its aptitude in communication, its advanced intelligence and its unique quality at establishing an organized, hierarchical community. As such, it has been worshipped akin to a deity and comprises the essential pantheon of iconic Canadian animals.
Coin 2 – Grizzly Bear $25 Extraordinarily High Relief Fine Silver Coin, October 2019
The grizzly bear is Canada’s second largest carnivore. Its scientific name, Ursus arctos horribilis, translates from Latin to “terrifying northern bear”. However, while it is oft linked to danger, the brown bear remains a highly respected symbol in Canadian culture. It is synonymous with strength, confidence and leadership, as well as rest and quietude. Bears are known to be particularly intelligent and resourceful, though while they work hard they also rest hard, hibernating up to 7 months per year.
Coin 3 – Lynx $25 Extraordinarily High Relief Fine Silver Coin, December 2019
The Canadian Lynx is a captivating feline native to the Northern Hemisphere’s boreal forest. The lynx favours thickly forested wilderness areas. However, it will follow the food wherever it is. Due to its elusive agility and secrecy, the Canada Lynx has been nicknamed “the shadow of the forest”.
