RECORD GRADE:
Mint (MT): The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration of sound quality.
Near Mint (NM): The record looks like it was just opened and may have been played once or twice. There is no surface noise and the vinyl's surface is very glossy.
Excellent (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played but there is lessening of sound quality. There is little, if any, surface noise, and the vinyl's surface is glossy.
Very Good (VG): The record has obviously been played multiple times but displays very little deterioration of sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and an occasional light scratch.
Good (G): The record has been played so much the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated perhaps with some distortion and mild to moderate scratches.
Fair (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise. It may even jump or skip.
Poor (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc.
SLEEVE GRADE:
Mint (MT): The sleeve is in brand new or like new condition and still has its original cellophane wrapper.
Near Mint (NM): The sleeve has very little surface wear on front, back or edges. The sleeve may still have the original cellophane wrapper.
Excellent (EX): The sleeve shows some signs of wear on the edges, but the front and back has no ring wear or other signs of wear.
Very Good (VG): The sleeve shows some signs of wear on the face, obverse and or edges, may have a cut out, or other small imperfections.
Good (G): The sleeve has moderate deterioration and shelf wear but has no tears or split seams.
Fair (F): The sleeve has considerable shelf wear or may have a split seam at top or bottom. The sleeve may have been repaired with tape.
Poor (P): The sleeve has multiple issues including one or more split seams, may have large tears in the sleeve, or may be missing portions of the sleeve.
