Description
Available here is a wonderful box set for the classical music / opera fan, in fantastic condition:
Mozart's' "Idomeneo", featuring the Staatskapelle Dresden Orchestra, conducted by Hans Schmidt-Isserstedt. This is a box set with (4) LPs and a 26-page booklet, all in top condition. This is the German pressing.
This ambitious work from Mozart premiered on 29 January 1781 at the Cuvillies Theatre in Munich, Germany.
This set was released in 1972 on EMI Electrola (C-191-29-271/4, Angel Series). This box set came from the collection of an audiophile, and I'm grading this vinyl (all four discs) as NM, There are no visible marks across the lot of four discs. Extremely glossy.
The box is also in top condition, clean (a little fading and minor spotting on the inside cover, original foam still present in back of records) and a hinge in perfect working condition, VG++. On front, upper left corner, there is a tiny, handwritten check mark (see photo). The 26-page booklet is very clean with no writing, tears, dog-ears or staining. The original paper liners with plastic interior are included (all are in great shape), and all labels are clean and complete. Non-smoking home.
For the Mozart fan / classical music fan / opera fan, this "Idomeneo" box set is a must; you will be hard-pressed to find this item in better condition anywhere. Please see photos for more detail and make this collectible, classical box set yours today!
