This auction is for a superb Morrissey promotional vinyl 7" which has unique sleeve artwork that is different to the standard release, and which was designed to be a parody of the classic T-Rex sleeve/label artwork. This is an unusual item which is highly sought-after by collectors and it is believed that only 300 copies exist. It appeared in the Record Collector list of Morrissey Top 50 rarities at Number 16 in December 2009 and is an item whose value seems set to rise and rise. This one is a rarity in that it is in exceptional condition with no splitting or damage to the delicate outer sleeve (see below).The vinyl and labels are in near mint condition, with no marks at all on the labels and only a couple of the lightest 'hairline' surface marks on the glossy vinyl; the record is almost certainly unplayed. The thin paper outer sleeve is also in near mint condition, with no writing, sticker marks, damage or signs of wear. There are no significant creases, just light 'rippling' of the delicate paper where it has been handled lightly. Importantly, there are no splits in the seams of the sleeve which often happens with this fragile type of outer sleeve.
