Description
This is an original 1969 copy of "Morgen." Morgen is a legendary psych/ rock group from Long Island, NY that was formed by Steve Morgen, Bobby Rizzo, Mike Ratti, Barry Stock and Murray Schiffrin.
The LP was considered one of the best heavy American psychedelic rock albums of the 1960's. The first track off of this album, "Welcome To The Void", includes several references to fairy tales and folklore.
The LP had been re-issued but this is the original first pressing on Probe Records/ABC CPLP-4507 from 1969.
I play tested the entire LP:
Side One: The opening track, "Welcome To The Void" is their most famous track and it plays Near Mint/ Mint. Tracks 2, 3 and 4 each have only 2-3 "clicks" in each track.
Side Two: The entire side plays Near Mint/ Mint.
This copy comes with its original insert, which measures 10" x 20" and includes all lyrics and album credits. The insert is in Mint condition.
The cover is totally intact with no seam splits, writing, etc. There is some foxing on the left side of the cover, as can be seen in the photo. There is also a tiny cutout hole in the upper right. The back cover is very nice.
The drawing at the center of the front cover is titled "The Shriek." If you look carefully above the drawing you can barely see the title "Morgen." That's how original copies were titled. I tried to show that in one of the photos.
