Description
MOONSTRUCK! Unknown obscurity from Eastern Canada (New Brunswick). I heard this while visiting a friend in Canada. KILLER progressive/west coast trio, with guitar/flute bass and drums. Mostly instrumental in the prog./jazz rock vein, with excellent guitar parts. Short songs but very busy: thundering bass, killer druming, rhythm changes, etc. No boring, meandering solos that seems to go nowhere. The flute adds a certain barock feel, with a heavier edge. Not unlike the swedish group LOTUS, for those familiar. This was released on their own label, LUNARTUNE Records, in 1976.
After hearing the LP, i did some research and found only one surviving member of the band. I contacted the person and bought the last remaining copies (less thaN 10). Nobody knows anything about LP, none of the guides mentions the album, nor the band. I even contacted local record stores. They haven't seen a copy in 20 years!! Only few hundred copies were pressed and distributed locally. Record is SEALED!
