Description

Thelonious Monk - Underground - Columbia CS 9632 (Mono!) - Rare radio station issue

Condition:

Cover: VG+ (name on back, large radio sticker on front)
Record: EX (light sleeve marks, no scratches)

I believe this mono issue to be very rare for a few reasons.  To my awareness, there was no commercial mono issue for this album.  No catalog # distinction is made (uses "CS" rather than "CL").  Also, it's from 1968 when mono issues were waning.  Lastly, I've not seen this variation show up in reference volumes.  The music is great also with Monk joined by Charlie Rouse, Larry Gales, and Ben Riley, along with Jon Hendricks (vocals on "In Walked Bud"). Tracks are:
