Description
This 1980s reissue of a 1957 mono album from Riverside Records' Contemporary Series (OJC-084/RLP-242) features several jazz songs from the Thelonious Monk Septet: Ray Copeland (trumpet), Gigi Gryce (alto saxophone), Coleman Hawkins (tenor saxophone), John Coltrane (tenor saxophone), Thelonious Monk (piano), Wilbur Ware (bass), and Art Blakey (drums). Album notes are in English, written by producer Orrin Keepnews.
The outer sleeve has a small collection index sticker in the upper right corner of the back (Photo 2).
This is one of many titles from an extensive collection of LPs and CDs that we will be listing here. All have been carefully stored for many years, played only on premium equipment, and show little to no wear.
